NetZeroCities Programme Finance Officer - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated NetZeroCities Programme Finance Officer - Remote to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be pivotal in managing financial aspects of our climate transformation initiatives. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial regulations and contribute to the overall success of our projects.

What You'll Do

• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the NetZeroCities programme.
• Manage financial reporting and ensure compliance with donor requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers to track expenditures and financial performance.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports using advanced Excel and Power BI.
• Engage with stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and ensure transparency in financial operations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a remote setting.
• Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel and experience with financial software such as MYOB or QuickBooks.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Experience with EU funding mechanisms and grant management is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with geospatial analysis and data architecture.
• Experience in climate services or environmental finance.
• Knowledge of stakeholder engagement strategies.
