Mission Planning Systems Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Mission Planning Systems Engineer to join our team at LSE Space. This is an exciting opportunity for a Mission Planning Systems Engineer remote position where you will support mission planning activities for various LEO missions. If you're ready to make a significant impact in the space industry, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do

  • Support mission planning activities for different LEO missions at GSOC.
  • Monitor computer systems that generate mission timelines based on mission agreements.
  • Intervene and correct issues with the system as they arise.
  • Coordinate with various teams for non-nominal activities such as special tests.
  • Update documentation and procedures for both nominal and contingency situations.
  • Investigate off-nominal behavior and propose solutions.
  • Conduct regular statistical analyses and report findings.
  • Test, report, and implement new MP application versions and workflows.
  • Maintain MPS server and deploy new operational server versions as required.
  • Support 24/7 on-call service on a weekly basis.

Requirements

  • A degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in scripting with Python and VB, with a willingness to automate workflows.
  • Knowledge of databases, specifically MySQL.
  • Experience with Windows Server maintenance.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Basic knowledge of spacecraft control systems and LEO satellite operations is preferred.

  • Experience in defining, verifying, and validating operational procedures.
  • Interest in advancing your Development & Programming career with relocation support.
