Mid-Senior Technical Product Manager - Remote
About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to join our team in a remote capacity. In this role, you will oversee the full software development lifecycle for assigned products, specifically supporting the VA Office of Connected Care. As a Technical Product Manager remote, you will play a crucial role in transforming high-level visions into actionable plans, ensuring that our products meet user needs and technical feasibility.
What You'll Do
- Manage the full software development process lifecycle for assigned product(s).
- Facilitate strategy and prioritization discussions to align product direction with customer needs.
- Build and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring prioritization aligns with stakeholder input.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, data, QA, and operations teams to ensure product quality and timely delivery.
- Lead and support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospective sessions in partnership with development teams.
- Ensure continuous communication across cross-functional teams to remove blockers and track progress.
- Partner with data teams to analyze product usage, optimize user experience, and define KPIs.
- Utilize your Scrum Master experience to foster agile best practices and improve team velocity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
- At least 7 years of experience applying product and/or project management principles in a healthcare or technical environment.
- Proven track record of managing a product or suite of products from requirements gathering through testing and production release.
- Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership.
- Strong knowledge of Agile Project Management methodologies and tools like Jira.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
Nice to Have
- Experience articulating the difference between product and project management.
- Strong emotional intelligence for effective communication across interdisciplinary teams.
- Prior experience with the Appian platform.
