Mid-Senior Java/​Python Developer - Insurance Domain (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Mid-Senior Java/Python Developer to join our team in the insurance domain. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the United States. As a Java/Python Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing core applications that are vital to our operations.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java/Spring Boot and Python/Streamlit.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration activities to ensure software quality.
• Utilize Git for source control and Jira for work tracking and sprint execution.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and recommend improvements to system design.
• Develop and maintain database components using IBM DB2 and ensure data integrity across platforms.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications to improve performance and scalability.
• Support PARM-related data integration and participate in unit testing and validation related to data configurations.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of development experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, and Python.
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience with Java/Spring Boot.
• Experience building and consuming SOAP or RESTful web services with JSON/XML.
• Proficiency with build/deployment tools such as Maven and Git/GitHub Actions.
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server/DB2/Snowflake.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of security authentication and authorization practices.
• Insurance domain knowledge is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
• Experience integrating AI into development practices.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
