About the Role

We are seeking a talented Mid-Senior Full Stack PHP Developer to join our dynamic team at 8 Signals Limited. This remote role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects that help businesses streamline their operations through tailored digital solutions. As a Full Stack PHP Developer, you will be responsible for developing custom web platforms, internal systems, and API-driven applications.

What You'll Do

  • Write and maintain clean, modular code in PHP, utilizing frameworks such as Laravel and CodeIgniter.
  • Collaborate with team members to execute software development projects efficiently.
  • Ensure optimal performance and scalability of web solutions.
  • Develop front-end components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery, ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
  • Work independently on web applications while adhering to security best practices.
  • Participate in software testing, including unit and feature testing.
  • Support mobile-responsive development and maintain legacy codebases.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in back-end web development using PHP and frameworks like Laravel.
  • Strong skills in MySQL/MariaDB database design and optimization.
  • Experience in front-end development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Familiarity with API development and integrations.
  • Understanding of security best practices (SQL injection, XSS, CSRF).
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, primarily AWS, is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Office365 APIs and Stripe APIs.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
  • Experience in software development methodologies.
