About the Role

We are offering a challenging position as a full-time (100%) PhD Student at the School of Engineering - STI at EPFL. What You'll Do

• Take full responsibility for your dissertation, conducting independent research in collaboration with industry partners.
• Design and execute experiments that utilize nonlinear optical imaging and ultrafast spectroscopic techniques.

• Write and publish scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in a relevant field such as photonics, physics, chemistry/material science, electrical, or bioengineering.
• Strong analytical abilities and a creative mindset to tackle complex scientific problems.
• Experience in nonlinear optics, microscopy, or ultrafast spectroscopy is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit to work effectively in a team.
• Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of French, German, or Italian is an asset.
• A high level of motivation for academic research work and a rigorous approach to experimental tasks.
