Mid-Senior Frontend Software Engineer - Hybrid Travel Tech

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Frontend Software Engineer to join our team at eDreams ODIGEO, one of the largest e-commerce businesses in Europe. As a Frontend Software Engineer remote, you will play a critical role in enhancing the customer experience on our travel platform. This is a hybrid position, allowing you to work from our offices in Barcelona or Madrid, or remotely.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain high-quality applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, and ReactJS.
• Implement efficient data querying with GraphQL and ensure code reliability through rigorous testing with Jest and React Testing Library.
• Work within a microservices architecture, deploying software daily while adhering to SOLID principles and TDD.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of developers, product owners, UX designers, and data scientists to deliver exceptional travel solutions.
• Participate in product ideation and definition processes, contributing innovative solutions to complex challenges.
• Continuously learn and engage in workshops and hackathons to stay updated with industry trends and technologies.
• Monitor and own the performance of product and technical OKRs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in JavaScript, with a strong understanding of engineering fundamentals such as data structures and algorithms.
• Proficiency in modern frontend technologies including ReactJS, TypeScript, and GraphQL.
• Experience with cloud environments and continuous delivery practices.
• Strong data-driven mindset and the ability to deliver high-quality code through good design and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT.
• A curiosity for experimenting with emerging AI-driven solutions.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like DataDog and BigQuery.
