About the Role
We're seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team at Telstra. This DevOps Engineer remote position is ideal for those looking to bridge the gap between development and operations while working with cutting-edge technology. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our applications are seamlessly integrated into production environments, contributing to our mission of building a connected future.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain applications/tools to manage and expose domain resources and services.
- Integrate core models and applications with northbound and southbound APIs.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
- Containerize applications and manage orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Deploy solutions to cloud or on-premises production environments.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for production systems.
- Ensure security best practices and compliance in deployment and operations.
- Document deployment processes and operational runbooks for handover.
Requirements
- 6-9 years of relevant experience in a DevOps role.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for automation and integration.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
- Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Skills in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Implementing observability with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
- Strong Git skills and experience with collaborative environments.
Nice to Have
- Experience with legacy-to-modern system migrations.
- Familiarity with TMF standards and network management tools.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
