About the Role
We are seeking a talented Mid-Senior Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of groundbreaking medical robotics. This Data Engineer remote position is based in Utrecht, Netherlands, and offers a hybrid working setup. You will play a crucial role in transforming real-world device data into actionable insights that enhance patient care.
What You'll Do
- Design and maintain production-grade ETL and ELT pipelines to support operational insights and long-term product performance.
- Develop Python-based data pipelines using modern libraries like Polars and integrate them with AWS orchestration services.
- Collaborate with a Senior Data Engineer to improve pipeline performance and robustness.
- Investigate data issues and extend automated quality checks to ensure data reliability.
- Translate business requirements into clean datasets and clear dashboards for stakeholders.
- Explore opportunities to grow into data science, fault analysis, and support for ML and AI workflows.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, backend engineering, or analytics-focused roles.
- Strong Python skills with hands-on experience in ETL or ELT pipelines.
- Familiarity with modern data tooling such as Polars, Pandas, PyArrow, or PySpark.
- Analytical mindset and comfortable working in a regulated environment.
- At least 2 years of experience with AWS-native services, containers, or DataOps practices.
- Experience delivering clean and insightful dashboards to business stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience with machine learning workflows and AI integration.
- Familiarity with data lake or lakehouse environments.

Who Will Succeed Here
