Mid-Senior Backend Engineer - Gaming Industry

About the Role

Join our dynamic team as a Mid-Senior Backend Engineer in the gaming industry, where you'll have the opportunity to work remotely while contributing to the development of our cutting-edge Gaming Engine. As a Backend Engineer remote, you'll utilize the latest technologies to create cloud-based, distributed, scalable, and fault-tolerant microservices capable of handling approximately 1.3 billion gaming transactions per month.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain microservices using Java, Spring, and JPA.
  • Integrate new gaming providers into the platform via API integration.
  • Optimize performance and scalability of backend systems.
  • Collaborate with frontend teams to expose game data via APIs.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure seamless API integrations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with Java frameworks such as Spring and JPA.
  • Proficient in relational databases like MySQL.
  • Experience in building scalable and fault-tolerant systems, familiar with microservices architecture.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for continual learning.
  • Experience with cloud technologies and services, particularly Google Cloud Platform.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Kafka, Kotlin, Akka, Hazelcast, Consul, Datadog, Docker, Node.js, GraphQL, Kubernetes.
