Mid-Senior Autonomy Robotics Engineer - Remote Opportunities

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and passionate Autonomy Robotics Engineer remote to join our high-caliber, early-stage robotics startup. You will be instrumental in building autonomous systems for real-world security and critical infrastructure environments. This role is not about simulation; it involves field deployment, safety constraints, and autonomy in real-world scenarios. As an Autonomy Robotics Engineer remote, you will own the navigation and autonomy stack end-to-end, from sensor integration to control, in a high-trust, high-ownership environment.

What You'll Do

• Own the navigation stack, focusing on sensor integration, state estimation, and SLAM.
• Build end-to-end systems, including drivers, calibration, fusion, navigation, and control.
• Ensure performance, safety, and reliability in real environments.
• Deploy and iterate on robots in the field, moving beyond simulation.
• Make architecture decisions and operate with high autonomy.

Requirements

• Master's degree with 3+ years of experience or PhD in Robotics, Controls, or Perception.
• Proven experience building end-to-end robotics systems.
• Deep understanding of SLAM, state estimation, planning, and control.
• Hands-on field deployment experience is non-negotiable.
• Strong ownership mindset and clear communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Nav2, GTSAM, and Ceres.
• Multi-sensor fusion (LiDAR / vSLAM) knowledge.
• Embedded systems and hardware integration experience.
• AI/ML applications in robotics (perception, embodied AI).
