Mid-Senior Application Security Analyst - Vulnerability Management

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Mid-Senior Application Security Analyst - Vulnerability Management to join our dynamic team at MoOngy. As an Application Security Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and managing vulnerabilities across our applications. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in Portugal while contributing to our mission of enhancing application security.

What You'll Do

• Review and analyze application security vulnerabilities identified by security tools.
• Assess risk levels and prioritize remediation actions based on severity and impact.
• Collaborate with development and technical teams to ensure timely resolution of security issues.
• Provide clear guidance and support to teams in implementing effective fixes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and automation of security processes and workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 4 years of proven experience in a Vulnerability Analyst or similar cybersecurity role.
• Solid understanding of application security concepts and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with security testing tools, including SAST, SCA, and DAST.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, or data handling.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with a structured and analytical mindset.
• Capable of making well-justified decisions when evaluating and prioritizing vulnerabilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud security practices.
• Certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CEH, or similar).
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS).
