Mid-Senior Analytics Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Analytics Engineer to join our team at Scorewarrior, a leading game developer based in Limassol, Cyprus. This Analytics Engineer remote position will allow you to focus on transforming data into actionable insights, enabling our product analysts to make informed decisions quickly and effectively.

What You'll Do

• Design and maintain the transformation layer within our dbt codebase, ensuring data reliability and performance.
• Implement software engineering practices such as version control, code reviews, and automated testing to uphold quality as code.
• Collaborate with analytics leadership to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Optimize SQL queries for performance, ensuring they meet the speed of business decision-making.
• Prepare clean, pre-calculated datasets for Tableau, allowing analysts to build reports efficiently.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering, with a strong focus on SQL.
• Proficiency in dbt or similar analytics engineering frameworks.
• Experience with data modeling and modern DWH design patterns.
• Strong understanding of performance optimization techniques for SQL queries.
• Familiarity with Python for data manipulation and automation.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with large-scale event-driven systems.
• Background in gaming or complex long-lived products.
• Familiarity with experimentation and feature analytics pipelines.
