Mid-Level Python Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are hiring a Mid-Level Python Engineer to join our dynamic QA Automation Team at Sporty Group. This Python Engineer remote position is perfect for someone who is passionate about enhancing software reliability and efficiency. Our team is distributed across Taiwan, Europe, and America, allowing for flexible work locations. As we continue to grow, your role will be crucial in enhancing our in-house automation framework.

What You'll Do

• Lead the enhancement of our Python-based automation framework, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and efficient.
• Drive codebase refactoring efforts to improve clarity, readability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with QA Engineers to identify automation needs and implement effective solutions.
• Utilize strong troubleshooting and debugging skills to resolve issues within the automation framework.
• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate automation processes into the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Python Developer, showcasing strong proficiency in object-oriented programming.
• Proven track record in developing and maintaining robust and scalable software solutions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within distributed and remote teams.
• Familiarity with commonly used design patterns to create modular and maintainable code.
• Solid understanding of Python built-in libraries for efficient functionality.
• Proficient in written and spoken English for effective team communication.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Docker and containerization concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation (Jenkins actions preferred).
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, unittest).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub preferred).
• Understanding of software development practices.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s) and JavaScript is a plus.
