Mid-Level Data Scientist - Remote Options Available

About the Role

We're hiring a talented Data Scientist to join our team at UKY Justice Commission. This Data Scientist remote position offers the opportunity to work with advanced analytics and AI to support strategic decision-making across Germany and Europe.

What You'll Do

• Analyze large datasets to identify trends and actionable insights.
• Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms.
• Work on use cases such as predictive analytics, forecasting, and customer segmentation.
• Clean, preprocess, and validate structured and unstructured data.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to define data solutions.
• Communicate findings through dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Continuously improve model performance and data processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in data science or analytics roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python or R.
• Experience with machine learning libraries (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong knowledge of statistics and data modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn).
• Familiarity with big data tools (Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.
