Mid-Level Data Engineer - Hospitality Industry

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Mid-Level Data Engineer to join our team in the hospitality industry. This role offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while contributing to a leading provider of restaurant operations software used by global brands across more than 150,000 locations in over 100 countries. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our restaurant operations platform, streamlining processes such as inventory management, scheduling, compliance, and workforce training.

What You'll Do

• Develop PL/SQL and Bash scripts to automate complex business workflows.
• Design and optimize databases for high-volume OLTP and DSS systems.
• Perform SQL tuning and improve database performance.
• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for database platforms.
• Work with Oracle GoldenGate for data streaming solutions.
• Monitor and improve automation and system performance.
• Support the modernization of automation tools and processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering or database development.
• Strong experience with PL/SQL and Bash scripting.
• Experience with Oracle Database.
• Proficiency in database design (OLTP / DSS).
• Strong SQL tuning and performance optimization skills.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
• Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
• Team player with strong collaboration skills.
• English level: B2 (Upper-Intermediate) or higher.
