Orthotic Service Administrator - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are excited to announce an opportunity for an Orthotic Service Administrator remote position at Blatchford, a leader in advanced prosthetic technology and orthotic devices. This role is essential in supporting our team at the NHS centre in Carlisle, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality care and service.

What You'll Do

• Assist Orthotists and Departmental Managers in providing orthoses and associated equipment to service users.
• Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, ensuring their needs are met.
• Respond to patient inquiries confidently and helpfully.
• Communicate service criteria to patients, carers, AHPs, and clinical staff.
• Arrange hospital transportation for patients as required.
• Process all goods received for users in a timely manner.
• Ensure all records and equipment for orthotic clinics are prepared before the clinic starts.
• Maintain patient records and management information accurately.
• Assist in ordering orthotic products as prescribed by the Orthotist.

Requirements

• Good computer skills and proficiency in office administration.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with high attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Negotiation skills and tenacity in problem-solving.
• Prior experience in a healthcare or administrative role is a plus.
