We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineering Department Manager 3 to join our team at Northrop Grumman. What You’ll Do

• Provide oversight and assistance to multiple programs, including Sentinel GBSD and ICBM Sustainment.
• Analyze current release processes and identify gaps to ensure efficient design review milestones.
• Lead improvements across the design department to enhance employee engagement and retention.
• Mentor and develop section managers and the overall employee base.
• Support proposal work, technical reviews, and special assignments as needed.
• Create and manage high-performing teams to execute complex engineering programs successfully.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of experience; 6 years with a Master’s.
• Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date within the last 6 years.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain Top Secret Clearance.
• At least 1 year of experience in the Aerospace or Defense field.
• 3 years of experience as CAM or EVMS.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience working on ICBMs.
• Familiarity with Agile engineering and Jira.
• Experience managing an engineering team.
