About the Role
We are seeking a Manager Test Pilot Engineering 2 to join our team at Northrop Grumman. What You'll Do
- Coordinate with Test and Evaluation Leadership and E-2D program manager to develop strategies and methodologies to achieve program goals.
- Document solutions and plans in proposal technical volumes.
- Manage budgets using EVMS reporting tools, ensuring accountability for cost, schedule, and performance.
- Support business development activities, including generating schedules and cost estimates.
- Perform functional homeroom duties, including personnel management, performance reviews, and goal setting.
- Lead and mentor a high-performance team in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
- Communicate complex technical issues and solutions effectively to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards in flight testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 9+ years of test and/or aircraft operations experience, or a Master’s Degree with 7+ years of experience.
- Current DoD Secret or Top Secret level security clearance.
- Experience in flight test planning, safety planning, and test operations.
- Strong leadership skills with a minimum of 3 years in a defined leadership role.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Test Pilot School graduate or formal flight test training.
- Experience operating in a US Navy Integrated Test Force.
- Background in leading aircraft operations under DCMA Instruction 8210 oversight.
