Manager of West and North Africa Operations - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Manager of West and North Africa Operations to join our team at IDinsight. This remote position will be based in either Dakar, Senegal, or Rabat, Morocco, with frequent travel between the two locations and occasional travel across West and North Africa. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in amplifying social impact through data-driven solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Lead day-to-day operations for the West and North Africa region, ensuring smooth administration, travel support, and office management.
  • Build a steady operating cadence that reduces firefighting and improves predictability across a multi-country portfolio.
  • Translate regional priorities into quarterly operational plans and establish clear ownership across workstreams.
  • Oversee key people operations processes, including recruiting, onboarding, and employee engagement.
  • Strengthen team engagement through feedback loops and rituals that promote inclusion and well-being.
  • Coordinate recruiting and hiring for WNA roles, ensuring a consistent candidate experience.
  • Manage office and operations budgets for Senegal and Morocco, driving cost discipline through effective procurement.
  • Ensure local compliance in Senegal and Morocco across employment administration and legal requirements.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in operations, people operations, HR, or administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to run multiple workstreams with high autonomy and strong execution.
  • Strong judgment and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working effectively in diverse, cross-cultural teams.
  • Values alignment with IDinsight and a strong stewardship mindset.

Nice to Have

  • Passion for global development and social impact.
  • Experience with full lifecycle hiring and familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Knowledge of operational compliance in Senegal and Morocco.
  • Professional fluency in French and English, with Arabic and/or Wolof preferred.
