Manager, Occupational Health & Safety - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Manager, Occupational Health & Safety to join our team remotely. In this role, you will lead a team of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) specialists and Lifecycle coordinators while ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all Remote employees. This position is crucial in navigating and advising on the intricate paths of global employment with unmatched speed, expertise, and precision.

What You'll Do

• Lead a team of OHS specialists, providing mentorship and guidance to foster professional growth.
• Manage and resolve complex Occupational Health and Safety events across multiple international jurisdictions.
• Oversee vendor invoicing and billing activities for the Lifecycle Operations team.
• Collaborate with various departments including Operations, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Customer Success to enhance existing processes.
• Act as a subject matter expert on all Occupational Health & Safety related topics.
• Identify and provide coaching and development opportunities to build a high-performance team.
• Champion Remote’s values and Lifecycle team’s goals internally and externally.
• Support the growth and smart scaling of the OHS team to align with Remote’s multiple product streams.

Requirements

• Experience working in a fast-paced, international scale-up environment.
• Hands-on people management experience with a coaching mindset.
• Tech-savvy and eager to adapt processes through technology.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Startup and remote working experience is a plus.
• Ability to shift tasks and priorities quickly and effectively.
• A growth and problem-solving mindset.
• Passionate about achieving goals and customer satisfaction.
