Maintenance Operative - Field Based

About the Role

Are you a competent and multiskilled Maintenance professional looking for a new challenge? We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Operative to join our team remotely, providing essential property maintenance and repair services to our care homes and other areas of the business.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate and complete all aspects of general maintenance and repair in our homes.
• Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, painting, basic electrics, and gardening.
• Work as part of a multi-skilled team, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and report any issues to management.
• Be willing to work one Saturday every 6 weeks as part of the role.

Requirements

• Experience in all aspects of general maintenance with the ability to perform tasks to a high standard.
• Proficiency in plastering, building, and decorating to provide comprehensive maintenance services.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing and excellent communication skills.
• Experience with powered hand and bench tools, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Confidence in using IT systems, specifically Jira for job management.
• A full driving license is essential, along with flexibility to travel across our homes.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in a similar role within the facilities management sector.
• Additional certifications in maintenance or repair work.
