Lyric Translation Reviewer (English to German) - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Lyric Translation Reviewer (English to German) remote to join our team at Welocalize. In this role, you will evaluate machine-translated song lyrics, ensuring the quality and accuracy of translations from English (US) to German (Germany). This review-only position is crucial for improving automated translation systems.

What You'll Do

• Review and assess machine-translated lyrics for meaning, fluency, and naturalness.
• Provide quality ratings based on predefined evaluation criteria.
• Identify issues such as mistranslations and awkward phrasing.
• Maintain consistent and objective judgment throughout the review process.
• Work flexibly, averaging 4 hours per day.
• Contribute to ongoing projects with a focus on enhancing AI translation systems.

Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in both English (US) and German (Germany).
• Experience in translation or linguistic quality evaluation is a plus.
• Strong understanding of linguistic nuances and cultural context.
• Ability to focus on detail and maintain concentration over large volumes of content.
• Familiarity with different music genres and lyrical styles is a nice to have.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in translation, localization, or linguistic quality evaluation.
• Experience using online evaluation tools or platforms.
