Linux Administrator - Remote Position for Unified Jury Management System

About the Role

GovCIO is currently hiring a Linux Administrator remote to provide essential service desk, application, and security management services for the Unified Jury Management System (UJMS). In this role, you will utilize your troubleshooting, analytical, and decision-making skills to support and resolve end-user issues effectively. This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from anywhere in the United States.

What You'll Do

• Provide Tier 1 & 2 support for UJMS, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Utilize ITSM tools to create and track issues or requests related to the UJMS.
• Perform remote troubleshooting to determine the best solution based on user-reported issues.
• Properly escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support.
• Document and record each issue accurately, ensuring proper closure and follow-up with users.
• Contribute to the knowledge base for supported applications, enhancing overall team efficiency.
• Review and recommend improvements for application instructional or procedural documentation.
• Conduct IT application and security management activities, including system administration support services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of relevant IT experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7 or higher.
• Experience with Apache Tomcat and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and adaptability to handle various service calls.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to acquire and maintain an AOPublic Trust clearance.

Nice to Have

• Experience with ServiceNow for application management.
• Background in network security and understanding of ITIL best practices.
• Familiarity with federal court operations and case management applications.
• CompTIA Linux+ or LPIC-1 certification.
