Legal Counsel (Expansion & Licensing) - Remote

About the Role

JustMarkets is seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel (Expansion & Licensing) to join our remote team. As a Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal operations across multiple jurisdictions in the financial services sector. Your expertise will help us navigate the complexities of international law and ensure compliance as we expand our global presence.

What You'll Do

• Handle structural solutions for the business, assessing tax and regulatory implications while ensuring compliance with international laws.
• Support licensing applications for new markets, focusing on VASP licenses and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including client agreements and partnership contracts, to protect the company’s interests.
• Manage account openings with banks, EMIs, and PSPs, conducting due diligence and compliance checks.
• Identify and manage legal risks associated with multi-asset brokerage and crypto activities, collaborating with the compliance team.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Law with a focus on international law, corporate law, or finance law.
• At least 2 years of experience in a legal role within international financial services or multi-asset brokerage.
• Strong knowledge of international laws and multi-jurisdictional compliance.
• Hands-on experience with crypto licensing, including MiCA/CASP.
• Intermediate level of English proficiency.

Nice to Have

• Diploma-level professional qualification in Compliance or AML (e.g., ICA, ACAMS).
• Experience with CFD/FX brokers, MiFID II, or payments licensing.
• Experience launching offices/entities in different locations.
