About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Platform Engineer with Python and AWS experience to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, spending four days a week in either Boston or Needham, with occasional travel between offices. As a Lead Platform Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and building tools that empower our internal software engineering teams.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the development of scalable internal platforms that enhance the efficiency of our engineering teams.
  • Utilize your expertise in Python and AWS to create robust applications and workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and improve delivery timelines.
  • Implement best practices in software engineering, focusing on automation and reusable components.
  • Oversee the deployment and management of cloud-native applications using AWS services.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on platform development.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and FastAPI.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, and S3.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for innovation.

Nice to Have

  • AWS certification.
  • Experience working with offshore development teams.
  • Knowledge of performance optimization tools.
