Lead Developer - End-to-End Test Automation Solutions

About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Developer (remote) to join our team at Swiss Post. In this role, you will actively shape the end-to-end test automation solution while leading a team in making technical decisions, promoting best practices, and driving innovations. You will work with modern technologies to ensure high-quality applications reach our customers swiftly.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement requirements with a focus on Clean Code and sustainable architecture principles to ensure the high quality of our software.
• Develop and optimize the system solution for end-to-end test automation in complex software architectures.
• Lead the development of critical software components, systems, and functions to enhance availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency.
• Mentor colleagues, share technical expertise, and influence the team's development.
• Propose technological advancements and tooling, actively deciding on architecture and technology matters.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in agile software development with Java and Angular.
• Experience in leading and mentoring developers, sharing technical knowledge within teams.
• Completed higher education in Computer Science (HF, FH, Uni/ETH).
• Solid experience in developing test automation frameworks (e.g., Appium, Selenium).
• Knowledge of software architecture and test automation for web UIs, mobile apps, and APIs is advantageous.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines, as well as in the development, analysis, and troubleshooting of large, decentralized systems.
• Very good German and good English language skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud services and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Previous experience in the FinTech industry.
