Lead Cloud Engineer - Full Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team at PeopleX Inc. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere in Japan while leading cloud initiatives that drive innovation and efficiency. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our cloud strategy and architecture, ensuring that our solutions meet the needs of our enterprise clients.

What You'll Do

• Define and lead the cloud strategy and roadmap within the Technology Center of Excellence.
• Act as the technical lead for cloud initiatives across products, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Implement monitoring systems for performance and failure detection to maintain system reliability.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and enhance the developer experience through automation.
• Research and apply new cloud technologies to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building and operating cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
• Experience in system development projects with some project management exposure.
• Advanced Japanese for team communication.

Nice to Have

• Experience as a technical or IT consultant.
• Experience defining cloud architecture standards.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes or container-based environments.
• Experience in cloud-based R&D or innovation projects.
• Security-related experience.
