Junior Software Engineer - Remote Opportunity

What You'll Do

• Integrate, test, and validate software across multi-environment systems to ensure reliability and performance in secure deployments.
• Perform software integration and validation in accordance with approved DevOps lifecycle processes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, validate releases, and support continuous delivery efforts.
• Integrate and test software deliveries, verifying bug fixes, and performing regression testing across multiple hardware and operating system configurations.
• Support and document test results consistent with Agile and DevOps best practices.
• Contribute to continuous integration and deployment processes to enhance software reliability and efficiency.
• Work within Agile/Scrum teams on sprint planning, execution, and reviews.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and active DoD Secret security clearance at time of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 1-3 years of relevant engineering experience (including internships).
• Experience with Red Hat, Windows, and Windows Server operating environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a proactive approach.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a team-based environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience in hardware/software integration environments.
• Familiarity with Jira and Bitbucket.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and switch configuration.
• Exposure to ACAS scans and cybersecurity compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools.
