Junior Non-Key Expert - Monitoring & Evaluation Policy (Remote)
About the Role
DAI is seeking a Junior Non-Key Expert (JNKE) to join our team remotely, focusing on the development of a comprehensive Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Policy for the Hirshabelle State Ministry of Planning, Investment and International Cooperation (MoPIIC). This role is crucial for enhancing the effectiveness of development initiatives in Hirshabelle, Somalia, and will contribute to achieving the 2030 global Agenda for Sustainable Development.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the design and formulation of the Hirshabelle State M&E Policy, ensuring alignment with national priorities.
- Conduct a comprehensive assessment of existing M&E systems and identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitate stakeholder consultations, engaging with various groups including civil society, youth, and women’s organizations.
- Draft the M&E Policy document, incorporating feedback from stakeholders and ensuring it meets operational needs.
- Develop monitoring tools and guidelines to enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting standards.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Public Administration, International Development, or a related field.
- Three or more years of practical experience in an advisory role within international development.
- Experience in developing strategic plans and monitoring frameworks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English and Somali.
- Knowledge of the local development context in Somalia.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience as a Technical Assistant or Chief Technical Advisor.
- Familiarity with interactive data collection methodologies.
- Experience in workshop organization and facilitation.
