Junior Java Developer - Remote Opportunities

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Java Developer to join our dynamic team at BeaconFire Inc. This Junior Java Developer remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to impactful projects. You will be involved in developing applications using Java 8/JEE and other modern frameworks.

What You'll Do

• Develop applications using Java 8/JEE, Angular 2+, React.js, SQL, Spring, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Write scalable, secure, and maintainable code that powers our clients’ platforms.
• Create, deploy, and maintain automated system tests.
• Collaborate with testers to understand defects and resolve them in a timely manner.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies for architectural review.
• Work effectively with team members to achieve shared user story and sprint goals.

Requirements

• Experience in programming languages such as Java and JavaScript.
• Basic understanding of the software development life cycle.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) and common APIs and data structures like Collections, Maps, Lists, and Sets.
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) and basic SQL query skills.

Nice to Have

• Master’s degree in computer science (CS).
• 0-1 year of practical experience in Java coding.
• Experience with Spring, Maven, and Angular frameworks, HTML, and CSS.
• Knowledge of contemporary Java technologies (e.g., Weblogic, RabbitMQ, Tomcat).
• Understanding of JSP, J2EE, and JDBC.
