Junior Graphic Designer - Remote Opportunities

About the Role

ICF Next is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while contributing to various visual projects for the Joint Research Center, which supports EU policy areas through scientific expertise. As a Junior Graphic Designer, you will play a vital role in creating compelling visuals for both online and offline platforms, including websites, social media, infographics, and publications.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with the JRC Visual Communication team to conceptualize and design graphic visuals, infographics, and report layouts.
• Develop engaging digital assets for web and social media use, such as banners, illustrations, and motion graphics.
• Edit photos and images to enhance visual quality and ensure they meet design requirements.
• Capture high-quality photographs during events or meetings involving EU staff.
• Provide expert guidance on visual communication strategies and develop visual identity materials for special projects.
• Maintain graphics standards and implement design concepts that are accessible and engaging for diverse audiences.

Requirements

• Proven experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio showcasing innovative solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design tools.
• Experience with online tools like Canva for creating high-quality infographics.
• Creativity and a keen eye for detail in design.
• Familiarity with user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Photography experience and proficiency in photo-editing software.
• English language proficiency (B2 level) in understanding, speaking, and writing.

Nice to Have

• Experience in motion graphics and interactive design.
• Knowledge of current design trends and technologies.
