Junior Full Stack Software Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are excited to announce an opening for a Junior Full Stack Software Engineer remote position at School Basics. This role is fully remote and open to candidates located anywhere in Mexico. As a Junior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will join our dynamic team and contribute to building, maintaining, and improving our internal and external systems. Strong English communication skills are essential as you will collaborate closely with our US-based team.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and optimize systems that power critical applications for daily operations, including scalable and secure ERP systems.
• Develop robust APIs and developer tools to enhance team efficiency and scalability.
• Engineer backend services that support customer-facing applications, ensuring seamless user experiences.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Work with databases, internal APIs, and backend services to ensure performance and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews, system testing, and contribute to best practices in backend development.
• Maintain clean, well-organized codebases and ensure reliable documentation.
• Contribute to improving our data capture capabilities and product features.

Requirements

• Fluent in English (both written and spoken) is a must.
• 1-3 years of professional experience in full stack development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proficient in at least one of the following: Node.js, Python, or Java.
• Strong experience with SQL databases, git version control, and RESTful APIs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Able to work independently while remaining open to feedback and guidance.

Nice to Have

• Experience in developing and maintaining marketing landing pages and lead capture forms.
• Exposure to working with marketing teams to implement campaign tracking and monitor performance.
