Inventory Manager - Remote Opportunity in Pharmaceutical Sector
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to join our team in a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment. This remote Inventory Manager position allows you to play a critical role in ensuring the security of supplies and mitigating risks throughout the supply chain. You will collaborate closely with various departments including Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Quality, Project Management, and Production to enable early risk detection and effective mitigation measures.
What You'll Do
- Identify and evaluate key supply chain risks such as sourcing dependencies, lead times, capacity, geography, and compliance, while defining relevant KPIs.
- Track supplier and material risks, including dual-sourcing and regional exposure, to enhance sourcing strategies and resilience.
- Optimize material availability by monitoring SMOG, write-offs, stockout risks, and inventory levels.
- Deliver monthly inventory reports with concise insights and analysis.
- Perform scenario analyses on potential disruptions and recommend mitigation actions.
- Collaborate across functions to maintain risk catalogues, ensure accurate change control, and meet quality and regulatory requirements.
- Drive improvements in supply chain processes, data quality, material cycle time, and resilience initiatives.
Requirements
- A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, or a comparable field.
- Professional experience in supply chain management, risk management, planning, procurement, or related areas.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and related risk drivers.
- Experience working with master data and reporting tools such as ERP/APS systems, BI tools, Excel, and Power BI.
- Strong analytical thinking, conceptual skills, and a high affinity for data and KPIs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functions and departments.
- Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Very good German and good English skills (spoken and written).
