Internal Auditor Intern - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an Internal Auditor Intern to join our dynamic team at Aegon. This Internal Auditor Intern remote position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in auditing and consulting within one of the world's leading insurance companies. You will play a vital role in ensuring compliance and enhancing our internal controls.

What You'll Do

• Assist in the planning, execution, and reporting of audits and consulting projects.
• Work closely with the Internal Audit Manager for Spain and Portugal.
• Execute assigned audits within established timelines and practices.
• Evaluate key controls and conduct tests on relevant transactions.
• Document processes and work clearly to ensure quality standards are met.
• Issue conclusions on internal control, risk management, compliance, and corporate governance.
• Contribute to the preparation and issuance of reports.
• Verify and assess action plans defined by management.
• Maintain open communication with audited areas and the Internal Audit team.
• Participate in special projects and investigations as needed.

Requirements

• University or postgraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Business Administration, Economics, Audit, or a related field.
• Approximately 5 years of experience in auditing, risk management, or internal control, preferably in the insurance or financial sector.
• Proficiency in English (B2 level).
• Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel, Power BI, IDEA, or ACL.
• Strong analytical skills, decision-making abilities, and effective communication throughout all project phases.
