Intermediate UX Design Consultant - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

Hippo is seeking an Intermediate UX Design Consultant to join our dynamic team. This Intermediate UX Design Consultant remote position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to user-centered design processes and enhance user experiences across various platforms. As an integral part of our Agile teams, you will collaborate with user researchers and other stakeholders to ensure that our services meet user needs effectively.

What You'll Do

• Participate in Agile, multidisciplinary teams to implement a people-centered design process.
• Design end-to-end user journeys that create optimal user experiences.
• Utilize insights from user research and metrics to identify pain points and improve design.
• Produce user journey maps, sitemaps, navigation schemas, and annotated wireframes.
• Support user researchers in conducting usability testing.
• Facilitate workshops with your team and stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on designs.
• Collaborate with the Hippo design community to share best practices and insights.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge and desire to explore, innovate, and develop emerging design, UX, and technology trends.
• Ability to recognize and predict use-cases and user experiences, including happy paths and edge cases.
• Excellent understanding of user experience design for both mobile and web platforms.
• Experience with rapid prototyping tools such as Sketch and InVision.
• Strong consultancy skills, focusing on client needs and motivations.
• Ability to share your skills and experience with clients to enable them to continue iterating and improving their content.

Nice to Have

• Experience in conducting user research and usability testing.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards in UX design.
• Knowledge of front-end development practices.
