Interiors Mechanic - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Interiors Mechanic to join our team remotely. As an Interiors Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and refurbishing aircraft interiors, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. This position is integral to our operations at Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Service Centre, the flagship of our European operation.

What You'll Do

• Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements for factory, shop, and/or hangar positions.
• Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in 5-S activities to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Fabricate, install, and refurbish aircraft interior equipment and furnishings per work order or customer request.
• Complete customer requests that include items such as carpeting and upholstery on seats, card tables, side panels, glare shields, and aircraft cabinets.
• Perform and document all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.
• Assist with maintenance at off-site locations as needed.
• May clean aircraft as required and assist with other maintenance disciplines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of interiors experience, including wood finish and soft goods experience (e.g., auto, RV, boat).
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret mechanical engineering drawings.
• Basic PC skills for documentation and communication.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills regarding individual and aircraft status.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a similar role within the aerospace industry.
• Knowledge of aircraft maintenance regulations.
• Certifications related to aircraft interiors or maintenance.
