Information Protection Specialist - Remote Cybersecurity Role
About the Role
We are seeking an Information Protection Specialist to join our cybersecurity team in a remote capacity. As a key member of the Information Technology Risk Management and Security (ITRM&S) organization, you will play a vital role in managing and remediating instances of sensitive data leakage, insider risk, and other cybersecurity incidents related to information protection across our global network.
What You'll Do
- Investigate incidents generated from relevant information protection tools, utilizing log management tools, packet captures, data visualization, and pattern analysis.
- Analyze, escalate, and assist in the remediation of information security incidents related to data loss prevention.
- Improve and challenge existing processes and procedures in a fast-moving information security environment.
- Participate in the maintenance of IP policies and rules and associated events.
- Collaborate with the Global Security Group, Legal, and other business units to respond to IP incidents effectively.
- Create, modify, and review various reports and dashboards from our reporting tools.
- Maintain IP Policies/Rules and associated events to support compliance with corporate policies.
- Participate actively in weekly IP management meetings, reporting on security incidents that have occurred.
Requirements
- Excellent analytical and communication skills are essential for this role.
- Proven record of successfully managing incidents to resolution, with the ability to trace problems to their root cause.
- Experience with DLP and other information protection tools.
- Knowledge of networking (i.e., TCP/IP) and security products.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt and rapidly learn new technologies.
- Background in an information security-related discipline.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience as a data loss prevention analyst.
- Familiarity with Data Loss Prevention solutions for network, endpoint, and cloud solutions.
- Knowledge of current IT Data Protection landscape and upcoming trends in security.
- Information security industry certification is a plus.
