Human Resources Manager - Remote Contract Position

What You'll Do

• Lead the HR department in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that align with organizational goals.
• Manage employee relations, performance management, and talent acquisition processes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, particularly California employment law.
• Oversee payroll administration and employee benefits programs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance workforce planning and employee engagement initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in human resources management, preferably in a nonprofit or startup environment.
• Strong knowledge of California employment law and HRIS data management.
• Proven experience in project management and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.

Nice to Have

• Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS platforms.
• Background in environmental studies or clean transportation initiatives.
• Familiarity with B2B marketing and audience research.
