About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Coordinator - Remote to join our esteemed team at Marriott International. In this role, you will oversee the coordination of housekeeping activities, ensuring that our guests receive the highest level of service and satisfaction. You will play a crucial part in maintaining the quality standards that The Ritz-Carlton is known for, while also developing positive relationships with your colleagues and guests.

What You'll Do

  • Run sold room reports and verify room status to ensure efficient operations.
  • Prioritize room cleaning and update the status of departing guest rooms.
  • Act as a liaison to coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments.
  • Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms in collaboration with the Front Desk.
  • Prepare and distribute room assignments to Housekeeping staff, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Maintain a list of ‘Do Not Disturb' rooms and ensure that they are attended to appropriately.
  • Complete necessary Housekeeping paperwork and follow all safety and security policies.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, addressing their service needs with genuine appreciation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience in hospitality or a similar field.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to speak clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Proficiency in using computers to enter and locate work-related information.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and protecting company assets.
  • Willingness to perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
