About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Head of Product & Marketing (East Africa) to join our team at Eleving Group. This is a pivotal role where you will drive our brand forward in the East African market and expand our product portfolio. As the Head of Product & Marketing, you will combine strategic vision with hands-on execution, directly impacting our sales performance and market presence. This position requires relocation to Kenya.

What You'll Do

  • Lead all external communications—visual, written, and digital—to ensure brand consistency and resonance.
  • Strengthen Eleving’s brand positioning through strategic public relations initiatives.
  • Design and implement social media strategies to boost awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
  • Define and execute the company’s product development roadmap, aligning with market needs and customer insights.
  • Identify and implement upselling, cross-selling, and product bundling opportunities.
  • Launch and scale new products (e.g., Smartphone Financing, Boda Logbook Loans) based on market demand.
  • Develop and lead comprehensive digital marketing strategies focused on sales growth.
  • Plan and manage end-to-end campaigns and product-specific promotions.
  • Drive customer acquisition and retention through data-driven marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, product, and operations teams to align marketing and business priorities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in marketing, product management, or commercial leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and launch products that meet market needs and deliver business results.
  • Hands-on experience with digital marketing tools and channels (e.g., Meta Ads, Google Ads, SEO).
  • Strong understanding of brand communication, PR, and social media strategy.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering results through collaboration.
  • Track record of planning and executing marketing campaigns with measurable sales impact.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • A clear commercial mindset - comfortable owning sales as a key performance indicator.
  • Willingness to relocate to East Africa.
