Head of Product Design - Transform the Music Industry

About the Role

We are seeking a Head of Product Design to join our team at Believe, a pivotal role that will allow you to lead a transformative design journey in the music industry. As the Head of Product Design remote, you will oversee a talented team of designers and influence the future of our innovative platform.

What You'll Do

• Drive the vision and culture by creating a design North Star that aligns with Believe's mission to empower independent creators.
• Act as an internal evangelist, presenting design impacts at all-hands meetings and leadership forums.
• Transition our Design System into a mature, high-performance engine that enhances collaboration across 20+ squads.
• Mentor and coach a team of 8 designers, ensuring they have the support and psychological safety to thrive.
• Oversee the redesign of critical user journeys, simplifying complex tasks like royalty tracking and copyright management.
• Integrate AI into our design processes, enhancing how we research, frame problems, and deliver solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Product Design, with a proven track record in leading teams.
• Experience in navigating culture shifts and balancing design ideals with practical realities.
• Strong systems thinking capabilities, moving from component libraries to a cohesive product foundation.
• Fluency in both French and English is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and justify design decisions with data.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the music or entertainment industry.
• Familiarity with AI tools and their application in design.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
