About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager - Product Engineering (Climate Tech) - Remote to lead our innovative team focused on tackling significant climate challenges. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence team culture and processes as our first Engineering Manager, working in a low bureaucracy and high trust environment. Your leadership will be crucial in driving our mission to develop sustainable technologies that address climate change.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Oversee the development and deployment of climate tech solutions using technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Go, and Python.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring alignment with sustainability goals.
• Implement best practices in software development, DevOps, and cloud computing, particularly with AWS.
• Drive the adoption of AI systems and data analysis techniques to enhance product functionality.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role, particularly in climate tech or related fields.
• Strong technical background in software engineering, with expertise in Ruby on Rails, Go, and Python.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms, preferably AWS.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
• Passion for sustainability and a deep understanding of climate change challenges.

Nice to Have

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and data systems.
• Previous involvement in open-source contributions.
