About the Role

We are seeking a Head of People and Global HR Operations to join our fast-growing nonprofit organization. This remote role will allow you to lead our HR operations across multiple countries, including the United States, Mexico, and Colombia. As the Head of People, you will play a crucial role in transforming our organization into a performance-driven and scalable entity.

What You'll Do

  • Own and strengthen the operational foundation of HR across the organization, ensuring compliance with labor laws and payroll regulations.
  • Design and manage onboarding and offboarding processes, proactively identifying and mitigating legal and compliance risks.
  • Lead global compensation benchmarking and market analysis, addressing pay equity and optimizing benefits programs.
  • Establish and maintain the HRIS as the single source of truth for employee data, ensuring accurate tracking of roles and compensation.
  • Lead and rebuild the HR operations team, partnering with regional HR leaders to align local and global operations.

Requirements

  • 7–15 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on global compliance and operations.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish; proficiency in Portuguese is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of global labor law differences and compliance risks.
  • Experience in consulting, professional services, or tech staffing environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to make clear decisions with professionalism and empathy.

Nice to Have

  • International HR experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting organizations of approximately 100+ employees.
  • Background in project-based environments.
