Head of Machine Learning - Remote Leadership Role

We are seeking a Head of Machine Learning to lead our innovative team at Mimica. This remote role allows you to work from anywhere in the UK, Europe, or the Americas. As the Head of Machine Learning, you will empower our team to reclaim time and enhance efficiency through AI-powered task mining and process intelligence. Join us in shaping the future of work!

What You'll Do

• Lead and nurture a growing team of machine learning engineers, supporting their career development through coaching and mentorship.
• Coordinate projects and facilitate team meetings, planning, and retrospectives to align with company OKRs.
• Collaborate with the CTO, Platform, and Product Managers to ensure team priorities align with business goals.
• Act as a sounding board for the team, empowering them to identify and resolve bottlenecks and efficiency blockers.
• Drive the development and deployment of ML systems, optimizing tools and infrastructure for efficiency.
• Promote a culture of collaboration and continuous learning, mentoring team members in their development.

Requirements

• Strong background in applied AI/ML research, development, and deployment.
• Significant experience in leading and executing machine learning initiatives in high-growth product companies.
• Proven track record in managing and growing ML Engineers/Data Scientist teams.
• Deep understanding of ML engineering practices, including MLOps and data engineering.
• Strong communication skills to engage with senior leaders and product teams.
• Fluency in English with effective communication skills.

• Background in software design and data protection mechanisms.
