Head of Machine Learning - Remote Leadership Role

About the Role

We are seeking a Head of Machine Learning to join our innovative team at Mimica. This remote position allows you to lead a talented group of Machine Learning Engineers while driving impactful projects that enhance efficiency and productivity across enterprises. As the Head of Machine Learning, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our AI initiatives and ensuring alignment with our strategic goals.

What You'll Do

• Lead and nurture a growing team of machine learning engineers, supporting their career development through coaching and mentorship.
• Coordinate projects and facilitate team meetings, ensuring alignment with company OKRs.
• Collaborate with the CTO and Product Managers to align team priorities with business objectives.
• Drive the development and deployment of ML systems, optimizing tools and infrastructure for efficiency.
• Promote a culture of collaboration and continuous learning, mentoring team members in their development.

Requirements

• Strong background in applied AI/ML research, development, and deployment.
• Significant experience in leading machine learning initiatives in high-growth product companies.
• Proven track record in managing and growing ML teams, including hiring and mentoring talent.
• Deep understanding of ML engineering practices, including MLOps and data engineering.
• Strong communication skills to engage with senior leaders and product teams in technical discussions.

• Experience in successful startups/scale-ups, driving iterative development.
• Familiarity with distributed systems environments.
• Background in software design and data protection mechanisms.
