Head of Broker Relations - EMEA (Remote)
About the Role
AlphaSense is looking for a Head of Broker Relations - EMEA (Remote) to lead our efforts in expanding our sell-side content collection across the EMEA region. In this role, you will engage with key research stakeholders within Sell-side and Independent Research Firms, pitching the value proposition of research contributions to AlphaSense. You will manage all aspects of the relationship and be the key contact point for AlphaSense.
What You'll Do
- Develop new relationships and manage ongoing relationships with key decision makers (DOR, COO, and Research Distribution Managers) at Sell-Side Research Departments and Independent Research Firms throughout EMEA.
- Prospect for new research sources and partners, creating and maintaining a constant pipeline of opportunities.
- Meet content acquisition and retention goals as set with the Global Head of Broker Relations and the CCO.
- Negotiate commercial and contractual arrangements with new research/content partners.
- Assist in project management of partnership initiatives with research/content providers.
- Analyze relevant competing products in the market and interact with customers to understand their workflows and pain points.
- Monitor contributor research usage within the AlphaSense products.
- Track industry trends and deliver competitive intelligence to evolve product vision.
Requirements
- 8 to 10 years of experience in financial services at a research/content vendor, sell-side, or independent research firm.
- Strong existing senior relationships with various research/content providers.
- Proven experience with commercial and contractual negotiation with research contributors.
- Effective communication skills with external broker contacts and internal colleagues.
- Strong analytical skills and outstanding attention to detail.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams in different time zones.
- Solid Microsoft Office, Google Sheets/Docs/Slides, and SalesForce experience.
Nice to Have
- Subject-matter expertise with research feeds, metadata, assorted document, and research delivery types.
- A self-starter who is team-oriented but can work independently.
