Growth Software Engineer - AI-Powered Shopping Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a Growth Software Engineer to join our team at Joko, a leading tech company revolutionizing the shopping experience. As a Growth Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in scaling Joko’s user and business growth through innovative coding solutions. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to a mission that empowers consumers to shop smarter.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and ship experiments across the full user journey, from onboarding to retention, to drive significant impact on key growth metrics.
• Collaborate closely with the Product team to iterate quickly on high-impact levers, focusing on acquisition, retention, and engagement.
• Develop ambitious features such as gamification and personalization to deepen user connections with Joko’s product.
• Conduct AB testing at scale, instrument features for measurement, and partner with the Data team to ensure decisions are evidence-based.
• Prototype rapidly, gathering user feedback to iterate on solutions that enhance the shopping experience.
• Serve as a bridge between business, product, and technical stakeholders, translating challenges into engineering solutions.
• Contribute to Joko’s international expansion by adapting products to local contexts and scaling infrastructure across geographies.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally with a B2C product.
• Proven track record of shipping features end-to-end and taking full ownership of outcomes.
• Comfortable across the tech stack, able to adapt to front-end, back-end, and infrastructure challenges.
• Deeply data-driven, with analytical skills to design experiments and validate hypotheses.
• Fast learner, energized by new domains and challenges.
• Creative problem solver who proactively identifies what matters and builds solutions.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• Experience in AI or machine learning applications in e-commerce.
• Familiarity with growth hacking techniques and user acquisition strategies.
• Prior experience in a startup environment.
