About the Role

We are looking for a talented Graphic Designer Consultant - Remote to join our team at The Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime (GI-TOC). This role offers a unique opportunity to work on impactful projects that address the challenges posed by transnational organized crime. As a Graphic Designer Consultant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the resilience of countries in South East Asia, particularly Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines.

What You'll Do

  • Design and layout reports, ensuring adherence to the GI-TOC design style.
  • Typeset documents and implement corrections as needed.
  • Conduct photo research and style documents for visual appeal.
  • Support project managers with various design tasks to enhance project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create effective visual communication tools.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in graphic design or related fields.
  • Strong publishing background with advanced knowledge of design software such as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to produce high-quality visual features.
  • Understanding of the publishing workflow process and typesetting non-English manuscripts is preferred.
  • Ability to provide cost-effective proposals and meet project deadlines.
  • Submission of relevant work samples is required.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with international organizations or NGOs.
  • Familiarity with issues related to organized crime and illicit economies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
