About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Grants & Finance Officer - Remote to join our team at the International Detention Coalition (IDC). As a Grants & Finance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring financial stewardship across our grant portfolio, promoting efficiency and transparency in our operations. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely with a dedicated team committed to advocating for human rights and dignity for refugees and migrants.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee grants budgeting, financial monitoring, and donor reporting to ensure compliance with funding agreements.
  • Support financial operations in the Netherlands, ensuring adherence to local financial regulations.
  • Develop and maintain budgets for grants and projects, providing financial analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote a culture of collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation to support transparency and accountability.
  • Assist with payroll administration and banking processes as needed.
  • Contribute to a proactive and adaptable team environment, committed to human rights values.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree or qualification in finance or accounting.
  • At least 3 years of experience in grants and finance within nonprofit organizations.
  • Ability to manage multiple grants/projects with varying requirements effectively.
  • Experience in financial administration and compliance, ensuring adherence to regulations.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial reporting systems.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong collaboration and organizational skills, with a proactive mindset and adaptability.
  • Commitment to human rights and the values of IDC.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with international funding sources and donor relations.
  • Familiarity with financial software and reporting tools.
